Our Iconic Taylor Waterproof Jacket Is Back For Another Round Of Rainy Adventures. And Just Like Before, We Haven’T Skimped On The Details. It’S Got Plenty Of Sealed Pockets, A Zip And Popper Fly And A Protective Hood With A Bungee Cord Adjuster. The Taped Seams Make It Waterproof By Stopping The Water Coming In Through Where The Seams Have Been Stitched, Leaving It Perfectly Dry In Seriously Rainy Weathers. Happy (Rainy) Days!
Reproofing A Waterproof Jacket
We Recommend You Reproof Our Jacket Once A Year Dependent On Its Usage. This Is Due To The Nature Of The Coating Which Becomes Less Effective Over Time As It Is Affected By Dirt And Abrasion. We Suggest You Keep Your Waterproof Clean And Reproof It Periodically To Keep It Feeling Like New.
How To Tell If It’S Time To Reproof:
The Best Way To Test Your Jacket Is To Pour Some Water On It. If It Is Working Effectively, The Water Will ‘Bead Up’ Into Droplets. If It Has Degraded, The Water Will Soak Into The Top Layer Of The Fabric And ‘Wet Out’, Making The Fabric Look Darker. If This Happens, It’S Time To Reproof.
Treatments:
There Are Lots Of Different Products On The Market Which Can Be Bought Online Or Outdoor Retailers For Your Reproofing Needs. Nikwax Tech Wash And Grangers Are Great Products Which Can Be Washed In Or Sprayed On Following Their Instructions.
